The SUN RPIC-8WV is a normally closed modulating overflow valve designed for industrial pressure control applications. This balanced piston design valve features an integral T-8A pilot control cavity that accepts any T-8A pressure control cartridge.

Key operational features:

  • Modulates flow to regulate pressure when inlet pressure reaches the pilot cartridge setting
  • Main stage orifice protected by 150-micron stainless steel screen
  • Sun floating style construction minimizes internal binding from installation torque variations
  • Not suitable for load holding applications due to spool leakage
  • Back pressure on tank port directly additive to valve setting (1:1 ratio)
